Paul Turcotte, Broker Owner

Paul began his real estate career in 1989 after pursuing a violin performance degree and a variety of entrepreneurial ventures including managing and teaching at New England Bartenders School, restaurant consulting, advertising, publishing and a partnership in a Boston restaurant and bar.

His real estate career began in 1989 marketing condominiums for a local builder in a tough market.  He joined Prudential LeVaux in 1990 and stayed within the same office as it changed affiliations for nearly ten years.

In 1999 Paul opened RE/MAX Destiny. His goal then and now is to develop systems and support that truly make a difference in helping independent professionals grow the business of their dreams.

Paul lives in Somerville on the Boston/Charlestown border with his wife Sharon, a nurse educator and Mr. Snipps, a chocolate point Siamese that is a cross between a dog and a monkey in a cat’s body.   The second floor of their 1874 home is a neighborhood Bed & Breakfast known as Cobble Hill.

Paulina Alves-Jarvis, Operations Manager

Paulina graduated from Johnson State College with a Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Science. She has over ten years of experience in administrative real estate management, working previously with Coldwell Banker and Keller Williams. She also has administrative experience working for a real estate attorney which included property management.

Paulina understands real estate transactions from the associate’s perspective and what it takes to provide consistent professional support. In her free time she loves to run road races. Paulina lives in New Hampshire with her husband Joe and two sons Jackson & Noah.

Scott Vermilya, Vice President Property Management

Scott is a University of Maine graduate with extensive experience in the real estate industry.  His particular areas of focus are real estate management, finance, acquisitions, and commercial lending.   Scott joined RE/MAX Destiny in 2010 to build and direct the property management division.  Prior to that, Scott worked for several local residential management organizations as well both CB Richard Ellis and Paradigm Properties.

Kitty Mears, Design & Marketing Specialist

Kitty graduated from Hartwick College with a B.A in graphic design, photography and sculpture and a minor in Art History. After college she attend Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts in Waltham, MA, and graduated with a certification in graphic and web design. After CDIA she worked as a freelance web and graphic designer in Boston. Kitty’s specialties are Adobe Creative Suites, QuarkXPress, HTML, CSS, Javascript, WordPress, SEO, Social Media, Website Design and Development, Print Design, Typography, and Microsoft Office Suites.

Katie O’Brien, Business Development Coordinator

Katie graduated from The Boston Conservatory of Music with a Masters Degree in Voice.  She has worked as a full-time store manager for the Life is Good Company while pursuing her degree.  Katie is an excellent problem-solver that works one-on-one with agents to advance their personal business development.  She is an administrative assistant helping to design and build systems that will help our associates build their business.
